Cranial Osteopathy

Cranial osteopathy is very much a gentle osteopathic treatment that promotes relaxation of stress and tension throughout the body including the head. It involves gently applying pressure along the head and spine to release tension. It's based on the idea that manipulating the bones and tissues of your skull  can normalise the rhythm of your cerebrospinal fluid, which can in turn help to cure a variety of disorders. Cranial osteopathy is most commonly used to treat babies and toddlers, but it can be used in a variety of conditions for adults and children from birth through to old age. Tension causes can include: traumatic birth fall (staircase, bike, tree, etc. trauma (operation, road traffic accident, tooth extraction, etc.) Based on your initial consultation, your osteopath with decide whether or not cranial treatment needs to be used as part of your treatment plan.
